I’m a very private person. Even though I spend most of my time in the public arena, I am very select on what I wish to reveal of myself. To one degree or another we all value a certain amount of privacy. So, how do you feel when you find out that someone knows everything about you?
Psalm 139 reminds me that God is “familiar with all my ways”. Nothing is kept secret from Him. Is this good news or bad news? Ultimately it reminds me to “come clean” with God, ask for forgiveness and receive His blessing. If I have hurts and pains that no one else knows about, He still knows about them and wants to comfort us. If I get tired of doing good things for people and no one else notices...He still knows about them and will reward me.
So, even though I like to keep some things private, I’m glad it’s not private from God.
