When we give our lives to Christ, the Holy Spirit enters in and helps us to see God’s hand in our life. Sometimes God seems very close and other times He seems so far away. We take stock in our life and our behavior but can’t figure out why we don’t feel as close to God as other Christians. We may even try to mimic other Christian’s patterns of life by singing more in worship, joining a Bible study, or taking up a cause… but we still can’t figure out why we don’t feel closer to God. Amongst a host of possible reasons why we have this kind of experience please consider this; perhaps we are trying too hard to be like other Christians, but we are not approaching God the way He personally designed us to get close to Him. This is what we will be looking at on Sunday during the service.
