We have been looking at the reality that the Bible consistently presents our Maker as a husband and His people as His bride. He promises to care for us, meet our needs, and provide for our future. When we are down, He lifts us up. When we are weak, He imparts His strength. He wants us even now to claim and live out the privilege of being joined to Him. This week we will again see, by studying the marriage customs of Jesus' time, how God wants to communicate this great truth to us.
